All Ends Meet

In All Ends Meet, her first major solo exhibition in a Dutch museum, Zhu presents a series of new works, including an imposing mural that transforms the space into an organic whole. Through these and earlier works, All Ends Meet traces the development of Zhu’s intriguing visual language, shaped by her personal experience of time and space. In her vision, every ending carries within it the seed of a new beginning.

Residency

From early September to December 2025, Dan Zhu will be artist-in-residence at Het Oude Hof (Het Hof by blooming) in Bergen, at the invitation of Museum Kranenburgh. She will develop new work in the inspiring surroundings of Bergen’s artists’ village, which will be showcased in the exhibition All Ends Meet.

The residency, made possible by blooming, is an initiative of Museum Kranenburgh. With it, the museum adds a new chapter to the story of the artists’ village of Bergen, where artists from elsewhere have settled since the beginning of the last century, seeking inspiration for experimentation and new work. This fresh perspective from the outside allows them to experience the magic of the village and its surroundings in new ways and incorporate it into their art, while the exchange with local and regional artists fosters artistic cross-pollination and enrichment.
