Everything changes, nothing perishes

Iris Le Rütte

For sculptor, illustrator, and poet Iris Le Rütte (NL, 1960), humans are an inextricable part of nature and the ecosystem: humans ís nature.

Inspired by works such as Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Le Rütte’s work constantly allows people, animals, and plants to change shape and merge into hybrid creatures. Le Rütte is represented by several works in the collection of Museum Kranenburgh. Her works “Hare” and “Daphne” have become among the public’s favorites.
