Good news: internationally renowned trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort and Museum Kranenburgh are joining forces for an exhibition in November 2027. For Museum Kranenburgh, Edelkoort will curate an exhibition on animism that will occupy the entire museum.
The concept was developed through a close dialogue between Lidewij Edelkoort and Adriana González Hulshof, Managing Director of Museum Kranenburgh. Today, both parties signed a collaboration agreement.
Edelkoort is renowned for her ability to identify emerging trends at an early stage. She is a leading voice in discussions about the future, particularly in the field of design. As in her broader practice, she will bring together multiple disciplines within the exhibition.
Previously, she has collaborated with major brands in the fashion, textile, automotive, and fragrance industries. She was featured on the Dutch television program VPRO Zomergasten and was appointed a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Between 2015 and 2020, she served as Dean of Hybrid Design Studies at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she founded both the Textile Masters program and New York Textile Month. She is a forecaster, educator, curator, and publisher of books and cultural magazines.
