Museum Kranenburgh

Partnership between Queer Museum and Museum Kranenburgh

Queer Museum board member Alejandra Ortiz and Museum Kranenburgh director Adriana González Hulshof signed an agreement on 17 February formalizing a partnership between the two museums and expressing their intention to collaborate on future joint projects. As a partner, Museum Kranenburgh voices its support for the development of an internationally oriented Queer Museum in Amsterdam. Museum Kranenburgh, which regularly highlights current social issues in its exhibitions and educational programmes, looks forward to future collaborative projects with the Queer Museum.

The Queer Museum Foundation is working towards the establishment of the first Queer Museum in the Netherlands. The museum illuminates and portrays forgotten and untold stories of love, identity, persecution, and the struggle for rights within repressive societies throughout history. Celebrating diversity, the museum invites visitors to reflect on inclusion from an intersectional and international perspective. It focuses on the histories and cultures of people under the global umbrella of gender, sexual, and relational diversity.
